Now, until 26 October
Finish the heavy topics at school
Ask your teacher which paper length you are sitting. The 2022 guides shortened papers to 75 marks and 1½ hours after COVID. The 2024 timetable was 2 hours again.
27–30 October 2026
Four external papers, one each morning
English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science. The public statement did not print 2026 clock times. This desk counts down to 9:00am, the 2024 start.
After the papers
Marking, then results through school
NEAD marks SIJSC scripts. Your result is how you are considered for Form 4 (Year 10) next year. The Year 10 placement already on the ministry site is the previous round.
What is not on this exam
Other Form 3 subjects still matter in school
Agriculture, Arts and Culture, Business Studies, Health, Home Economics, Physical Education, and Technology are required in Years 7–9. They are not SIJSC external papers.

29 September 2026 – 5 October 2026
Numbers, then a first English pass
Mathematics numbers is 49% of that paper. Do measurements, indices, standard form, ratio, proportion, and simple interest. In English, separate fact from opinion and rewrite six sentences in a new tense.
6 October 2026 – 12 October 2026
The two heavy science topics
Resources and the human body are 32% each. Draw the atom, the three rock types, a balanced rusting idea, the reproductive systems, the heart, and a malaria life cycle from memory.
13 October 2026 – 19 October 2026
Social studies weight, plus composition
Resources and development is 33% and history is 29%. Make a one-page map of 7.1 through 8.12. Write one process and one formal letter. Time them.
20 October 2026 – 26 October 2026
Close the small slices, then sit quietly
Algebra, geometry, the short trigonometry and statistics, electricity and light, ecosystems, and the 13% environment strand. One timed set per subject. Stop cramming new notes the night before English.
